Six Sentence Sunday #67

Hello! *waves* Welcome to another #sixsunday snippet, and thanks to all who stop by and comment. I can't believe SSS ends this month. *sob* Doing SSS has taught me so much, done wonders for my confidence, and introduced me to so many talented authors. It'll be weird when it's gone!
So I'm going back to the book I started posting when I first joined - my debut release Keir. A slightly modified six (to fit in the limit), and my two main characters have been getting to grips with one another - literally!

“Nice move,” she said, a smile curving her lips.
“Thank you.”
Keir stared down at her for a moment. The sparring had added a warm flush to her skin. The heat and softness of her body beneath his crowded into his awareness. Even through the coarse fabric of their combat gear, he felt the rapid flutter of her heartbeat.
