Six Sentence Sunday #10

Hello and welcome to the latest 6. This is following on from last Sunday's posting of the new fantasy I'm working on. My main character has just defeated the rag-tag group sent to test her in a feat of arms, but one remainder is giving her a little more trouble ...

The last of the Faithful met her with a sword of unexpected elegance and wielded with a skill beyond the norm as he deftly swept the right-hand blade from her grip.
"Darcy," he said, and the use of her private name froze her solid.
"Eoris," she smiled, "You've remembered all I taught you."
"Enough to have a blade pressed against your heart."
"But my kind are legendary for having no heart. Besides, look down."
A sudden fierce pricking drew his attention, where her other blade was pressed against his groin.

Hope you enjoyed that. Please check out the rest of the wonderful Six Sunday writers by following the link.
