I'm continuing with Keir this week, and Quin is still trying to coax some answers...
“Did you kill someone?”
“They caught me stealing food.”
“Just a thief, then.”
The accusation, however true, stirred his resentment. “What choice is there when you are penniless and starving?”
“True enough, but you did just threaten to kill me...” © 2009-2012 Copyright Philippa J. Green All Rights Reserved

Great dialogue and I can here the resentment and frustration in the voices you have written here. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alix! Great to see you back on SSS. :-)
DeleteGreat six! Looking forward to the release! I'm sure you are, too. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica! Oh, yes, the anticipation is killing me! :-)
Delete2 more weeks! I can't wait to read this. :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic dialogue here! Loved it x
ReplyDeleteSo heartless! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteGreat flow to their dialogue and wonderful pacing. An intriguing six!
ReplyDeleteInteresting dynamic between these two. Her "just a thief" seems almost dismissive, then she appears to be trying to make up for it by pointing out he threatened her life.
ReplyDeleteYep, she's trying to figure out how much of a threat he might be.
DeleteThis is a "take no shit" woman who is intent on getting answers. I like her a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gem, really happy to know she has a fan. :-)
DeleteStill wondering how she got in there. I may have to buy this one--mind if I use it for Twitter quotes?
ReplyDeleteWell, you can download the first chapter from Lyrical Press for free to answer that question.
DeleteAnd Twitter quotes? I've not heard about that before, but yes you may. :-)
Such a teasing snippet! Can I nip into my TARDIS and go forward two weeks to get a copy? lol
ReplyDeleteOnly if you bring me back my sequel to copy! :-P
DeleteLove the interplay of dialogue, and how she doesn't let him off the hook so easily.
