Read Only Wednesday - Girl from Above: Trapped by Pippa DaCosta #scifi #spaceopera

Read Only Wednesday is when I highlight a book I've just read, about to read, or added to my TBR pile (which is becoming ever bigger. Roll on Christmas and my planned reading binge!). This one has gone on my wishlist as I've already read the previous two books but my book budget is all spent out. Oh, alright, I spent it on geek t-shirts last month. You can't wear a book in winter! But I'll definitely be picking it up. My attraction to this series frustrates me because I loathe the hero. Yup, totally. Normally that's an instant DNF and will never read again, but 1001 has me intrigued and kept me reading (and frankly I'm hoping to see the hero get his comeuppance). :P

Blurb:

"When are you going to stop running, Caleb?"

Taking the synth to the casino capital of the nine systems seemed like a great idea at the time, but as Caleb Shepperd's many enemies close in, he only has one way out. He must betray #1001.

Caleb can't make the same mistake twice. Can he?

#1001 has a price on her head. The Fenrir Nine and Chitec will stop at nothing to secure her secrets. The very same secrets that riddle her synthetic mind with faults.

Her systems are failing.

And the one man she's come to trust may prove to be her enemy.

The sizzling, fast-paced, and action packed science-fiction continues in Trapped.
