New #Release - Mirror Reformed by @KGStutts #scifi #romance

“So an alien race of unknown origin, strength, and power is coming our way. We’ve defeated them before but have no clue how we did it and we all died in the process.” Seth gave two thumbs up. “Awesome.”

The final book in KG Stutts’ sci-fi romance trilogy, Mirror Reformed, launches today!

Blurb:
The ISC's most dangerous foe, the Synth, is threatening Earth. Mack, Maddie, and their team scramble to come up with a plan to defeat them one and for all. As the planet's safety is in jeopardy, the team will have to put it all on the line, or give their lives in the process.

Excerpt:
“Because they’ve done it before, and this is the team that stopped them.”
The team stared blankly at their former commander, trying to comprehend his words. The statement echoed in Maddie’s mind, making her hands shake.
“That’s insane,” Seth blurted out after several quiet minutes.
“Remember my warning. What I said is hard to believe, but it’s the absolute truth.” Charlie looked unabashed at the group’s disbelief.
“Charlie, what’s going on?” Maddie asked.
“Most of you know the story of how the ISC was formed,” Elizabeth began.
“Right. A young Charlie created a communications device that reached the Isgurd,” Mack stated. “We formed our first alliance with them.”
“Correct. The rest of the story has been classified.”
“Rest of the story?” Maddie looked over at John who looked just as confused as she did.
Charlie pulled up a video on the monitor and pressed play. The screen came to life as a young boy wearing wire-rimmed glasses and sandy blond hair falling in his eyes smiled and cleared his throat.
“My name is Charles Westlake. I am thirteen years old and I’m from Charleston, South Carolina. I created an intergalactic communications device that made contact with an alien race known as the Isgurd. I have recently been visited by a group of people from the year 2015. They came here to prevent an aggressive alien race known as the Synth from killing me, stopping my meeting with the leader of the Isgurd, Balise, and taking over Earth. This group was led by Jackson Gray, but my main contacts were Maddie and John Brooks. The team successfully defeated the Synth here in 1965. This message is to be preserved in case the Synth returns.”
The team stared at the monitor long after the screen went black.
“How … how did all this happen?” Mack finally broke the silence. “Going back in time and fighting a race no one has heard of? I mean, Charlie, honestly—”
“That’s not the pressing issue,” Maddie interjected sheepishly.
“Exactly, Maddie.” Charlie nodded. “We need to come up with a plan and fast.”
Maddie turned bright red when Mack turned and glared at her for the interruption. After a moment, though, Mack relaxed into a reassuring smile.
“How much time do we have?” Jackson asked.
“Judging by current speed, they will be here in four days,” Elizabeth stated.
“Four days isn’t a lot of time,” John muttered.
“Charlie, you said we defeated them before.” Maddie chewed on the inside of her cheek. Charlie nodded. “How?”
The former commander instantly broke eye contact, looking down at the floor. Even Elizabeth wouldn’t meet her gaze.
“I see,” Maddie solemnly said.
“See what?” One of the guys, Chris, asked.
“None of us made it,” Seth replied.
“Ah.”
“Well, that’s certainly comforting,” Jackson gravely said.
“Do we have a plan?” Mack asked, shifting uncomfortably in her chair.
Elizabeth and Charlie exchanged glances before turning back to the group. The look on both of their faces made Maddie’s heart drop into her stomach.
“Nothing? You’ve got nothing?” David sputtered out the question.
“How did we do it before?” Chris asked.
“We’re … not sure,” Elizabeth admitted.

#Cover #Reveal - Amethyst Chronicles: Winter's Kiss by @kgstutts #scifrom

I'm honoured to be part of the cover reveal for a new scifi series for KG Stutts - the Amethyst Chronicles.

On November 21st, book one in a highly anticipated sci-fi novella series, Amethyst Chronicles: Winter's Kiss launches from brought to you by KG Stutts, the author of the Mirror series. This is actually a spin-off, taking place over a thousand years after the third in Mirror trilogy, Mirror Reformed (out January 16th).

Blurb:
Amethyst is a secret team of genetically enhanced humans which is Earth’s greatest defensive weapon. Leading the team of super soldiers is Ember Wilson, a tough woman with a huge chip on her shoulder. The team gets their name from the after effect of the Genesis Project which turned their eyes and even their blood purple.
For decades, Earth has been ravaged by unpredictable weather which began to cause crops to fail. Most of the planet’s food sources have deteriorated. Dr. Clayton Rudo has proclaimed he has the means to save the soil. He has created a weather machine to regulate and help replenish. But Ember knew the truth. He didn’t want to save the planet. He wanted to control it. Amethyst destroyed the machine, but was placed in stasis. Two years later, Rudo recreated the device and has frozen Washington, DC and the west coast of the United States.
General Tom Blanchard brought Amethyst out of stasis to work with an elite Air Force team, led by Major Liam Ross. Tensions between Ember and Liam rise as they butt heads. Can they work together before Earth is completely under ice?

Excerpt:

A lab technician carefully brought Ember Wilson out of stasis. Liam stood back as her team surrounded the final pod. Her violet eyes fluttered open and Liam’s hands began to shake. He couldn’t believe how stunning she was.
 "What the hell?" she groaned.
"You'll feel sick to your stomach for a moment, but it will pass," Lewis informed her.
"My head," she muttered, rubbing her temple. "What did that empty-headed, bureaucrat ass kisser Blanchard to do to me? How long have we been out?"
“Two years,” he replied.
"Wilson, take a second to get your bearings," Morris said.
“You’ll feel back to normal in a moment,” Nova added.
She scanned the lab, coming to a stop the moment her eyes locked on the General. Her foot pressed against the back of the pod, her eyes wild with anger.
"You son of a bitch!" she yelled as she used her foot to launch herself in the air.
Nova and Morris caught her before she could reach Blanchard. She kicked and screamed for freedom but the duo wouldn't budge. She jerked against the hold they had on her arms, spitting and cursing.
"I know," Lewis calmly said as he stood in front of her. Her foot was inches from his chin when she kicked. "Hey, it’s okay. I know. But there are more pressing matters at hand than him."
"Rudo?" she asked through gritted teeth.
"You got it."
"You moron!" she shouted, looking over Lewis’ shoulder to Blanchard. "You had the chance to stop it before he could act but you were too much of a coward!"
"I'm sorry--"
"Sorry? Sorry?" Her voice was nearly shrieking. "Not yet, but you will be."
"Wilson, Rudo used the weather machine," Nova stated, his face contorted as he strained to keep his hold on her.
"Of course he did! And now we've got to clean up the mess."
"Whatever problems you and I have aren't important right now," Blanchard said.
"You got that right," she snapped. "I'm going to finish what I started and kill Rudo and maybe you'll be lucky not to meet my blaster."
"There's no cause for that," Liam spoke up.
Her purple eyes looked upon the Major for the first time. He instantly regretted interrupting. She stopped struggling against Nova and Morris. A low growl rumbled from deep in her throat as her eyes narrowed. He shifted uncomfortably, fidgeting with the hem of his dress blues. The coldness in her eyes made him shiver.
"Who's the uniform?" She nodded in his direction.
"This is Major Liam Ross," Blanchard introduced. "His team will be working with yours on this mission."
"Absolutely not." Ember shook her head as Nova and Morris let go of her arms. "We're all you need."
"President Packer disagrees."
"I don't give a flying monkey's butt what Packer says."
"This is bigger than your raid on Rudo. You need the man power."
“No one else could’ve broken into the compound! We don’t need or want the help.”
“It doesn’t matter.”
"Doesn’t matter.” Ember fumed. “In case you’ve forgotten, we don't work well with others."
"I know. The leader of the Luteus team still isn’t one hundred percent after the skirmish your two teams had."
"It was a training exercise. Besides, if Mark is still healing after all this time, he should spend time in a therapy tank. That's not my problem."
"Regardless of how you feel, this is the situation. Or you can be put back into the stasis chamber."
"Not on your life." Ember's lips twitched.
"Glad we've reached an accord." Blanchard nodded.
Wilson turned to Ross again, sizing him up. He was tall and, judging by the way his Air Force blues molded to him, was very muscular. His brown hair framed his handsome face but didn't touch the collar of his impeccably clean uniform. Soft brown eyes were watching her intensely.
"Can your pretty boy even hold a blaster?" She questioned Blanchard, nodding toward Liam.
"Direct your inquiries toward me." Liam stood up straighter.
Ember raised an eyebrow, looking slightly amused. "Oh, yeah?"
"I'll have you know that I'm the number one ranking sharpshooter in the world," he told her.
"It's cute you think like that. Rankings don't mean shit," she said. "Scores on a piece of paper are useless in the field."
"I assure you, Major Ross and his five squad members are more than capable of the task," the General said.
"Five?" The members of Amethyst began to laugh.
"You need a squad of five?" Ember chuckled. "Rookie."
"You only need three on your team?" Liam incredulously asked.
"I only need two, but Nova grew on me."
"Aw, thanks, Wilson.” Nova grinned. “That may be the nicest thing you've ever said to me."
Ember's eyes burned into the Major's as she continued to assess him.
"All right, pretty boy. Let's see what you and your boys can do," she said. "Collect your squad and meet us in the training center."

Time for a cover reveal! Mirror Shattered is the second book in a sci-fi romance series by new author KG Stutts. The first book, Mirror Image, introduced us to Maddie, a brilliant scientist who finds out she's a clone. Maddie gets swept into a secret world of the Intergalactic Security Commission, an organization which works to keep Earth safe. The primary goal with the ISC is to keep the secret that we aren't alone in the galaxy and not all other planets are as friendly as we are. Maddie works with her counterpart who goes by the name Mack to keep a powerful weapon from falling in the wrong hands. Maddie goes beyond expectations of a clone, and even falls in love.
But now it's two years later. As the team struggles under the leadership of a new commander, news is uncovered which shakes Mack and Maddie to the core. Everything they believed in is shattered, including a loved one. Before they could recover, the team is on a mission to protect a planet from an ogre-like race. The world is attacked by an alien race long thought extinct, the Synth. They barely escaped with their lives, but not without some heavily losses. On the way back home, the ISC's most trusted ally, the Isgurd, delivers more bad news. They can't return home. In fact, home never existed. The Synth managed to go back in time to kill their former commander, Charlie Westlake, before he could befriend the Isgurds and for the ISC. They must go back to 1965 and stop the Synth, even if it means their lives.

Excerpt:

The ship rocked as a blaster shot from the enemy ship hit but had no damage.
"Shields still holding," Seth announced.
"Someone have a brilliant idea?" John asked.
The ship fell silent. Seth had managed to maneuver the ship to avoid the second blaster charge.
"I think I have it. Fly into that star," Maddie instructed Seth.
"You've got to be kidding me," David said, exasperated.
"The shields will hold," Maddie assured Seth.
Seth looked to Jackson who nodded in agreement with Maddie.
"I hope you know what you are doing," Seth muttered, setting in the coordinates.
Me, too. Maddie thought. But she knew she couldn't lose her nerve now.
"What's your plan?" Jackson asked.
"We can actually use our shields to deflect energy toward our attackers," Maddie responded.
"That sounds dangerous," John warily said.
"It will take everything we have in shields to do this. We'll only get one shot at this. If my math is wrong, it could destroy us," Maddie admitted.
The crew looked on as Seth punched in the coordinates to the nearest star. The attacking ship began to follow suit. Maddie pulled out her data tablet and connected it to the ship.
"Maddie, please be correct," Seth prayed.
Her entire body shook as she turned on her tablet. If she was off in her calculations were off by even a fraction…
"Maddie..." John encouragingly said.
"A minute." She shook her head.
"We don't have a minute, Madison," Jackson sharply said.
"Got it!" she exclaimed, just as the ship entered the star.
The ship began to hum as the shields started pushing back against the star's energy. The enemy stopped its pursuit.

"It's waiting for us to come out," Chris said.
"On my mark, Seth," Maddie said, loading up her newly-written program into the ship's control panel.
"The temperature in the hull is rising," David alerted her.
"I'm aware. We're almost there," Maddie replied.
"I think we have it," Seth said.
"Fire!" Maddie shouted.
