Half-Term Hiatus

I'm currently in a reading frenzy and will be writing reviews toward the end of the week. So far I've read and rated Blaze of Glory by Sheryl Nantus and The Unfinished Boy by Chrystalla Thoma. I'm currently reading Paradise 21 by Aubrie Dionne having loved Nebula's Music, and next up is Jaine Fenn's Downside Girls, which I was lucky enough to win a copy of via Twitter. I plan to finish and self publish my hot science fiction romance short Terms & Conditions Apply early November. Keep an eye out for tour dates and a giveaway! I'm still awaiting first edits on my scifi Gethyon, releasing from Champagne Books Burst imprint in June 2013, and I should hear about Keir's sequel - Keir's Fall - by the 4th December. In the meantime I have nearly 6K on the sfr short for the SFR Brigade's anthology, the deadline for which is 1st January. It may or may not make it. When Eri's team lands, tribes of humans attack and Eri is saved by Striver, the descendant of a colonist and a pirate from Old Earth's colonization efforts in other parts of the galaxy. Striver helps Eri rescue her team and they are drawn to each other despite their different allegiances. While Striver battles with trusting Eri, Eri must decide whether to warn him and his people about the commander's intentions, or follow orders and complete her mission.

Bio:

Aubrie grew up watching the original Star Wars movies over and over again until she could recite and reenact every single scene in her backyard. She also loved The Goonies, Star Trek the Next Generation-favorite character was Data by far-, and Indiana Jones. But, her all time favorite movie was The Last Unicorn. She still wonders why the unicorn decided to change back to a unicorn in the end.

Aubrie wrote in her junior high yearbook that she wanted to be "A concert flutist" when she grew up. When she made that happen, she decided one career was not enough and embarked as a fantasy, sci fi author. Two careers seems to keep her busy. For now.

Nebula's Music by Aubrie Dionne

I've just reviewed Nebula's Music by Aubrie Dionne over at Critique de Book here. I have to say I loved this book. It also makes the second book in my 2012 SFR Reading Challenge.
